SMIGLY: The Big Bank
Another very underrated animation series is Smigly, a Dilbert-esque parody about a lovingly dopey guy who always ends up finding himself an unwitting victim to capitalist greed and unethical corporate tactics. One of the Smigly classics is The Big Bank, in which nefarious bank executives are all too excited at the prospect of yet another apathetic customer, ripe for the taking.
This cartoon is an excellent example of wry and biting satire, created in 2009 during the immediate aftermath of the greed-driven financial crisis, mocking both the unscrupulous banking overlords and the sheepish, docile customer who so easily fall victim to their tricks.
